Campus Operations Manager

Full time, salaried position with benefits – Insurance, 403b retirement fund, vision and dental available.

Description:

Fun and high-energy facilities operation position available with the National Sports Center Operations Team. The NSC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that produces annual and seasonal youth and amateur sporting events.

The Campus Operations Manager will oversee and manage a staff of 20-25 Operations team members, perform facility management duties and work to improve the front-line customer experience for our guests. Duties include, but are not limited to: staff scheduling and assignment; department communication; facility event logistics; hands-on operational support, such as setting up and tearing down events; coordinating with event operators and user groups. This position will report directly to the NSC Director of Operations and will be responsible for managing the logistics and day-to-day operations of facility events.

Experience – Bachelors Degree in Management or up to 5 years of experience in facilities management (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

Freelance Photographer - VOLUNTEER

The National Sports Center (NSC), a non-profit organization (www.nscsports.org), is seeking a volunteer photographer to assist with youth amateur sporting events throughout the year.  The volunteer photographer should enjoy working in the sports and/or photography industry and should bring creative talent combined with technical skills to produce professional photographs for the NSC.

In turn, the photographer will have the opportunity to build their portfolio. Duties will include shooting digital photos on assignment for the NSC Marketing Team, including NSC events, sponsor documentation, and social media.

This is a volunteer position.

Basic Requirements

  • Must have an interest in covering all campus sports
  • Must own professional equipment (DSLR camera)
  • Attend annual sporting events on our campus to be the NSC official photographer.
  • Work alongside the PR, media and marketing team.
  • Understand lighting, possess the ability to photograph people, landscapes, merchandise, or other subjects using digital camera equipment.
  • Would particularly suit someone interested in pursuing a career in sport and/or general photography and looking to develop a portfolio

This position requires:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience shooting and editing in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership, strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including special events held on evenings, weekends and holiday periods
  • Self-starter with good problem-solving skills

Hospitality Concessions & Catering Associate

Position Information

  • Rate of Pay: Based on Experience
  • Hours Per Week: Varies based on campus events
  • Location: All Campus Concession/Catering
  • Kitchen and concession experience preferred but not required

Position Description

The National Sports Center is looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual with an outgoing personality, hard work ethic, a clean/neat and professional appearance, and can provide excellent customer service. This individual will be a representation of the National Sports Center

Position Responsibilities

  • Greeting customers
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Taking, assembling, and presenting food orders
  • Operating a cash register and requesting/receiving payment from customers
  • Cooking and preparing food – standing and constant moving
  • Assist in various food areas to ensure food and concessions are being prepared and packaged properly, and being delivered to the customer in a timely manner
  • Stocking concessions trailers and/or food or vendor stands
  • Assist in inventory counts to help with proper stock and rotation
  • Cleaning in accordance with the National Sports Center sanitary standards including but not limited to:
    • Sweeping and mopping floors
    • Cleaning walls, counters, kitchen and service equipment
    • Removing trash
  • Associate will be trained in multiple areas within the concessions and catering position

Position Qualifications

  • Physical Requirements: This positions requires the ability to lift/pull/push/move/carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate commercial grade kitchen equipment such as popcorn popper, hotdog machine, kitchen ovens, etc.
  • Experience preferred but not necessary

Zamboni Driver

The Schwan Super Rink is currently looking to hire Zamboni drivers to resurface ice.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends
  • Must be customer-service oriented
