Customer Service/Event Registration

General Purpose

The position of Registrar serves an important role within the National Sports Center. The National Sports Center (NSC) is a 600-acre multi-sport facility located in Blaine, Minnesota. The campus includes the eight-sheet Schwan Super Rink; a 8,500-seat soccer stadium; the Schwan Center meeting and convention building; a multi-faceted family golf center, the National Youth Golf Center, which features the 18-hole Victory Links course; an indoor Sports Hall with a FieldTurf field; 150-bed residence hall; and 52 soccer fields. The facility hosts nearly 300 events annually, and has welcomed over 30 million visitors since its opening in 1990. The NSC generates over $37 million in annual out-of-state economic impact.

 

The primary responsibility of the Registrar is to ensure excellent customer service while adhering to National, State and NSC rules, regulations and deadlines. The Registrar will also be responsible for collection of all required forms and fees and post event financial reconciliation. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. This is a full time position with a full benefits package.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • »  Process Field Sports (soccer, lacrosse, etc) event applications according to NSC registration policies, procedures and guidelines
  • »  Maintain accurate hard copy/electronic event participant files
  • »  Provide instruction to team managers/coaches on event policies, fees, completion of applications and forms
  • »  Respond to inquiries from team managers, coaches and parents via phone and email
  • »  Resolve complaints within scope of information and authority
  • »  Complete on-site event check-in for all Field Sports events
  • »  Track/verify event lodging information
  • »  Complete post event hotel reconciliation
  • »  Enter and deposit money received
  • »  Prepare customer refunds for approval

Education and Experience

  • »  Four-year degree with 1-3 years customer service experience preferred
  • »  Excellent customer service skills
  • »  Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • »  Must be organized and detail-oriented
