Seminar schedule announced for inaugural Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo, November 16-18

All-Star line-up of fishing pros led by the Ice Team

BLAINE, Minn. (November 6, 2012) – The National Sports Center’s new Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo, November 16-18, will feature a seminar schedule boasting an all-star list of the biggest names in ice fishing.

The Expo, which is presented by Clam Outdoors, will feature five members the Ice Team, a select group of pro anglers -- Dave Genz, Jason Mitchell, Jason Durham, Scott Seibert and Jim Hudson.

Here is the seminar schedule:

Friday, November 16
4:30 p.m., Tony Roach, “Spoon Fed Walleyes.”
6:30 p.m., Dave Genz, “Winter Fishing Systems.”

Saturday, November 17
10:30 a.m, Brad Hawthorne, “The Bluegill Dojo: Extracting Monster Bluegills.”
1 p.m., Jim Hudson, “Big Water Success.”
2:30 p.m., Ice Team Panel Discussion and Q and A Session.
4:30 p.m, Brad Hawthorne, “The Bluegill Dojo: Extracting Monster Bluegills.”

Sunday, November 18
11 a.m., Jason Mitchell, “Tactics for Catching the Biggest Perch.”
12:30 p.m., Jason Durham, “Panfish, Top-to-Bottom.”
2:30 p.m., Brian “Bro” Brosdahl, “How and Where to Catch Monster Panfish.”

The inaugural Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo will give fishermen a great opportunity to preview the latest tackle, electronics, gear and ice houses, just ahead of ice fishing season.

“We could not be more excited about the line-up of educational seminars we’re offering,” said expo director Greg Savino. “This is an all-star line-up of the best ice fishing experts in the Upper Midwest.”

In addition to a great educational program, the inaugural Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo will give fishermen a great opportunity to preview the latest tackle, electronics, gear and ice houses, just ahead of ice fishing season.

The Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo is a property owned by the National Sports Center.

The NSC will be producing four upcoming outdoor shows. Following the Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo will be the Minnesota Angers’ Expo to be held February 8-10, the Minnesota Deer Classic, March 8-10, and the Great Waters Fly Fishing Expo, March 22-24. All the outdoor expos will be held at the Schwan Center on the NSC campus.

Location: NSC Schwan Center, 1750 105th Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55449.

Hours: Friday, November 16, 4 - 8 p.m.; Saturday, November 17, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Sunday, November 18, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Admission: Adults, $10/day; Students, $6/day. 11 and under admitted free. Unlimited free parking.

Features: ice fishing celebrities, seminars and classes, guide services, wheel houses, youth programs, travel destinations, new equipment, outdoor equipment testing.

Unique things to look for at the Hard Water Ice Fishing Expo:

Kids’ programs. Fish pond, provided by Midwest Extreme Outdoors. Other activities for kids.

“We have a commitment to help fishing grow in the future,” said Savino. “Right now, the number of kids fishing is declining. To turn that around, we need to get more kids involved in fishing.”

Outdoor wheel house and ATV testing. The National Sports Center offers ample outdoor space. Test an ATV or an ice auger? Just step outside the door! ATV test rides will be sponsored by the Hitching Post.
