NSC will host screening of "Chasing the Dragon" March 22

Blaine, Minn. (March 13, 2017) -- In an effort to combat the growing epidemic of prescription drug and heroin abuse, the FBI and DEA have released "Chasing the Dragon: The Life of an Opiate Addict," a documentary film aimed at educating adults, students and young adults about the dangers of addiction.

A local screening of the 49-minute film will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, at the National Sports Center’s Welcome Center, 1750 105th Ave NE, Blaine, Minnesota 55449.

Following the film, there will be a panel discussion with members from Fairview Health Services, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the FBI, the Anoka County Sheriff, and the Blaine Police Department.

The entire program will run about two hours. The program is appropriate for youth 14 years of age and older.
