The contractor completed the temporary signal work and shifted traffic to the north side of the road. The project will continue to maintain one lane of traffic in each direction for the duration of the construction. Traffic in the area should expect minor delays.
This week’s work will include the reclaiming of the pavement on the south side of 105th Avenue from Highway 65 east to Radisson Road. The concrete curb and gutter will also be removed along the entire south side along with the concrete median from Highway 65 to Davenport St.
The contractor’s proposed work for next week is to install storm sewer, water main, and begin grading the south side in preparation for aggregate base.
Entrances to the National Sports Center are open at the Schwan Super Rink/Welcome Center entrance, at Victory Links, and off Davenport Street by the new under-construction parking lot adjacent to the NSC Velodrome.
NSC staff has noticed that traffic exiting the campus onto 105th Ave. can usually make a right turn fairly quickly, and this keeps the line moving as well. Left turns are allowed, but they slow the process down for everyone.
