The National Sports Center Stadium is the home of Minnesota United FC training facility. The stadium also has hosted Schwan’s USA CUP feature games and ceremonies, along with concerts and marching band festivals.
The stadium can accommodate crowds in the 9,000 to 10,000 range for soccer games, and is a flexible venue with ample areas for standing room viewing. In June of 2015, it hosted a sold-out crowd of 18,500 for the Joyful Noise Family Fest concert. The stadium record for a soccer game was set in 2001, when 15,615 saw the U.S. Women's National Team defeat Canada 1-0. Extensive temporary seating was added for that game.
The NSC Stadium was the first stadium in Minnesota to host an English Premier League team when Minnesota United FC hosted Swansea City in a friendly match in 2014.
The U.S. Women's National Team has played four international friendlies at the National Sports Center over the years, hosting Canada, Norway, Sweden and Australia. In 2004, Mia Hamm scored her 150th international goal -- a record at the time -- in a 3-0 U.S. victory over Australia. The U.S. Men's U17 and U20 National Teams have also played international friendlies in the stadium.
