2016 Tournament Schedule

  • May 6: Recommended application deadline
  • May 13: Required forms deadline
  • May 23: Schedules are available online
  • May 28: Final team check-in, World Cup group matches begin for all teams.

  • May 30: Championship matches

Youth Tournament Details

U11-U19 Tournament Features

  • Played on the grass fields of the world's largest soccer complex
  • All teams will play first game on Saturday
  • World Cup groups, top teams advance to playoff round
  • Three-game guarantee
  • Three-person referee system (U13-U19)
  • 60-minute games
  • U11 and U12 age divisions play 8v8 format
  • FIFA regulation length final games
  • Each team receives a game ball

The tournament ranking committee will place teams into a flight that best fits the team's competitive ability. The tournament reserves the right to combine age groups, depending on the total number of teams in the identified age divisions. Teams will be notifed prior to the tournament if groups are to be combined. In addition, an age group may be flighted to help parity of competition.

Awards

Each player who is on the first or second place team will receive a medal and the coach will receive a plaque. Each first place team will have its team roster engraved on the NSC CUP trophy which is on display in the National Sports Center lobby.

U9/U10 Jamboree Features

  • Played on the grass fields of the world's largest soccer complex
  • 50-minute games
  • Four-game guarantee, round robin format, no playoffs
  • No scores recorded
  • One official per game
  • Games played Saturday and Sunday only
  • MYSA guidelines
  • All participants receive a player gift
  • 6v6 format
  • Teams will be scheduled in a group with other teams of same caliber when possible
  • Each team receives a game ball

U9/U10 Jamboree Details

Open to all teams which participate in the U9 and U10 age categories. The age category will be played as one group, unless numbers allow to group by age & level of play (division).

Adult Tournament Details

Tournament Features

  • Cash prizes for top finishers! $1000 for first place; $500 for second place. Purse subject to change if minimums are not met.
  • Play on grass fields at the world's largest soccer complex
  • Three-person referee system
  • World Cup groups; top teams advance to playoff round
  • Three-game guarantee
  • 70-minute games
  • Regulation length final games, 90 minutes
  • Play other adults teams from around the Midwest
  • Each team receives a game ball

  • Refund Policy
  • Teams dropping from the tournament prior to May 5 will receive a voucher in the amount of the tournament fees. The voucher may be used by any team in any age group within the club. The voucher is valid and can be used for the following outdoor NSC tournaments and does not include Schwan's USA CUP or Schwan's USA CUP Weekend. Using the voucer is based on availavility and does not guarantee acceptance into the event.

  • Teams dropping from the tournament after May 6 will not receive a voucher.

  • Updated March 2016. In the U9-U11 age groups, when a player deliberately heads the ball in a game, an indirect free kick (IFK) should be awarded to the opposing team from the spot of the offense. If the deliberate header occurs within the goal area, the indirect free kick should be taken on the goal area line parallel to the goal line at the point nearest to where the infringement occurred. Players should not be given a red card by heading the ball off of the goal line, this should be awarded with an indirect free kick as stated above.
