SPORT PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENT AND EXPLOSIVE DEVELOPMENT (S.P.E.E.D.)

The NSC S.P.E.E.D. program is an intense sports performance program designed to improve your overall sports performance. This program will improve your overall strength, speed and quickness, agility, balance and coordination, and cardiovascular fitness.

Program Features

  • Overview

  • »  Reduces the risk of injury while providing athletes with optimum conditioning.
  • »  Provides athletes with the proper building blocks for becoming as explosive and dynamic as possible.
  • »  Customized based on an athlete’s sport, abilities, and goals.
  • »  Pre-testing and post-testing to monitor improvements in all athletes.
  • Strength

  • »  Comprehensive strength-training program which will develop and increase each athlete’s overall strength base.
  • »  Address lower body and upper body explosive power while incorporating individualized strength programs.
  • »  Specific exercises to improve core strength.
  • Speed

  • »  Target stride length and stride frequency to improve each athlete’s overall speed.
  • »  Resistance training to improve stride frequency.
  • »  Stride length will be developed by applying proper biomechanics.
  • »  By combining improvements in stride frequency and stride length, athletes will reach their optimal speed.
  • Balance and Body Control

  • »  Body control is essential in an athlete’s ability to act and react.
  • »  By utilizing various drills and exercises, this program will improve each athlete’s balance and body control.
  • »  Using different strength and plyometric exercises will improve each athlete’s muscular coordination.
  • »  Athletes will see an increase in flexibility enabling them to push the limits of their movement.
  • Plyometrics

  • »  Plyometric drills to improve explosive movements, quickness, agility, coordination, flexibility, balance, and body awareness.
  • »  Footwork drills and box jumps will enhance an athlete’s performance and ability by developing quickness and explosiveness.
  • Cardiovascular

  • »  Increase cardiovascular endurance and speed.
  • »  Athletes will see improvements in their stamina and endurance.
  • »  Athletes will recover quicker and take longer to tire.
