3v3 Freestyle Futsal Tounament

3v3 Freestyle Futsal: 2022 November 12 (Boys) - November 13 (Girls)

Curious to know how players like Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Neymar develop their skills? From FUTSAL! That's the name of the game!

Some studies explored why certain areas of the world are talent hotspots for certain activities. After extensively studying the Brazilians, scholars and coaches determined that there was a misconception that the Brazilians got their skills from playing soccer at the beach. The cause for such talent came out of futsal.

So we combined two great tools for development that are small-sided games and futsal into one fun tournament! This environment helps develop players' creativity, decision-making and agility in a fast-moving game. It challenges players to use their strengths and turn them into strategies on a smaller court.

Why 3v3 Soccer?

3v3 games allow players more opportunities to touch the ball, develop quick decision-making and improve their soccer skills. Small-sided games can develop technical attributes, creativity, tactical knowledge and physical conditioning through movement. Additionally, 3v3 is very fun for younger ages because more opportunities to score, which increases players’ confidence!

  • Specific to soccer player’s development, 3v3 is beneficial to:
  • Develop ball control
  • Develop creativity
  • Constant movement from attack to defense
  • Encourages 1v1 encounters, which help to improve both attacking and defending skills
  • Encourage players to enjoy 2v1 opportunities to overcome the opponent
  • Improve decision-making
