Basketball at the National Sports Center

Join us in the NSC Sport Expo Center for out state-of-the-art indoor court and training space. The 18,000 sq. ft. facility is equipped with two high school-size basketball courts, an overlay of one Collegiate/NBA-size basketball court, professional backstops, scoreboards, shot clocks, spectator seating and concession area.

Timberwolves & Lynx MEA Play Clinics

October 17-18, 2019

The Timberwolves & Lynx Basketball Academy is excited to provide players an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming basketball season.  The MEA Break Play Clinics will focus on the comprehensive aspects of preseason athletic and skill development in a fun and engaging environment while preparing each player for play.  Emphasis will be placed on fundamental skill development, conditioning competitions/games, leadership, teamwork, growth mindset, basketball I.Q. and fun.  Our experienced staff will engage each player and challenge them to be their best while having fun in getting better.

All Clinics Include:

  • 2-Complimentary Timberwolves tickets (to a select game) 
  • Reversible Timberwolves or Lynx jersey

Clinic Details:

  • October 17-18, 2019
  • 9:00 AM-3:00 PM
  • Boys and Girls grades 3-8
  • $159 per person
  • Camp groups will be split by player grade, gender and skill level to ensure a positive experiece.

Star of the North Basketball

The Star of The North Basketball adult tournament will again take place on the campus of the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota at the new state-of-the-art basketball facility in the Sport Expo Center.  The event will feature an adult division 5-on-5 tournament.  Last year teams from all across the state participated; many of which had college and professional experience.  Players of NCAA member colleges and universities are eligible to participate in the adult tournament, as well as current overseas professional players too.

Team & Group Hosting

Our team and group hosting is designed for local, national and international teams at all levels to come train with us. The National Sports Center frequently hosts teams from around the would who are looking for a unique training experience and an opportunity to learn from coaches in the US.  Teams stay on campus in our dorms and have an opportunity to dine in our cafeteria.
