The Herb Brooks Holiday Classic once again will offer high school hockey players a place to showcase their talents.  The event will offer two divisions of boys high school hockey and two divisions of girls high school hockey.  Both boys and girls will have a varsity and junior varsity division.  New this year will be two new division to the event.  New to last year's tournament, we will be offering a Junior Gold A, B, and U16 divisions.  All divisions will be played the same three days offering a unique tournament setting. With 80 teams and 120 games in just three days.

  • Awards given based on number of teams in division
  • Games played at Super Rink and TRIA Rink

Tournament Fees

  • Varsity: $500
  • Junior Varsity: $500
  • Due by December 1, 2022
  • Pay online with Visa or MasterCard using the roster management tools.  Team id and password required.

Refund Policy

Teams dropping on or after November 1  will not be refunded the team entry fee.

  • Event Cancellation Policy: The following policy will be enacted IF an event hosted by the National Sports Center MUST be canceled by the directives of the State of Minnesota or the Minnesota Department of Health. Please know that our top priority in making decisions moving forward will be the safety and health of our players, coaches, referees, employees, and fans.  The Team registration refunds will be processed at 100% of the registration total. Refunds will be credited to your account no later than February 1, 2024.

Tournament Fees

 $1300 full fee, or deposit ($300) due at time of registration.

  • Full fee due by December 1, 2022
  • After team acceptance, you can pay the balance online with Visa or MasterCard using the Team Management tools.  Team id and password required.

Refund Policy

Teams canceling their participation in the tournament before August 31 will receive a full refund; teams canceling after August 31  will not receive a refund.

Registration

Please complete a registration for each team participating. This will generate a unique team id needed to complete the required forms.

Tournament Rules

High School Tournament Rules

  • The tournament will follow MSHSL rules
  • Overtime: 8-min sudden-death period, followed by a 3-man shootout. If still tied, a sudden death shootout ensues.

Junior Gold Tournament Rules

  • The tournament will follow USA/MN Hockey rules
