National Sports Center to host Central Avenue Cup/Big Cat Battle

Blaine, Minn. (Sept. 27, 2018) - The National Sports Center will host what Spring Lake Park and Blaine High school refer to as the Central Avenue Cup/Big Cat Battle on Saturday, Sept. 29. The schools’ varsity soccer teams will take to the turf at the NSC Stadium to compete for the third annual title.

Blaine, Minn. (Sept. 27, 2018) - The National Sports Center will host what Spring Lake Park and Blaine High school refer to as the Central Avenue Cup/Big Cat Battle on Saturday, Sept. 29. The schools’ varsity soccer teams will take to the turf at the NSC Stadium to compete for the third annual title.

While the evening gives the conference rivals a chance to meet face to face, it also allows the community to participate in Youth Soccer Night. Youth will have the opportunity to sign up for a door prize of two tickets to the Minnesota United FC versus LA Galaxy on Oct. 21. Additionally, youth will be able to participate in a skills challenge to win prizes sponsored by Youth Soccer Night.

The boys’ varsity game begins at 5 p.m. The girls’ varsity game begins two hours later, at 7 p.m. Youth wearing soccer club competitive or rec jerseys will receive free admission to Saturday’s event.
