Catch some great high school and college hockey at the Super Rink

The Schwan Super Rink has a well-deserved reputation as North America’s best venue for large hockey tournaments. Just to provide two examples, the recently completed Schwan’s Cup high school hockey tournament hosted 120 varsity and junior varsity teams over the holiday week, and the North American Hockey League Showcase in September welcomed over 100 teams playing over a long weekend.

Bethel Univesity's men's and women's teams play on rink #5 at the Schwan Super Rink.

But there’s another kind of hockey at the Super Rink that doesn’t get the attention it deserves – high school and college hockey.

The Super Rink is the home ice for two girls’ high school teams, Irondale and Mounds View, and two boys’ teams, Legacy Christian and Irondale. Also calling the rink home are the men’s and women’s teams from Bethel University, playing in the MIAC.

We’re right in the thick of the schedule, and looking ahead, there will be either a high school or college game at the Super Rink on eight of the coming ten days. So, if you’re a hockey fan (and who isn’t; we’re the State of Hockey after all) here’s a run-down of the upcoming games. C’mon out and enjoy the action!
