Beginner and intermediate clinics for adult hockey players

Our adult skills clinics allow adults to learn the game of hockey, even if they never played as a youth. We'll teach you individual fundamentals and you'll learn about playing on a team. Come join the fun!

New Registration System

We are excited to present you with a new registration experience - NSC Event HQ. This system will streamline your enrollment process and give you more access to your customer account. Use this system to register for Adult Skills Clinic.

If this is your first time using the system, you will need to create a new User ID.

Clinics Offered

  • Clinics are meant for Beginner and Intermediate hockey players. The Coach will evaluate the skill level of the players and adjust accordingly.
  • Beginner: For skaters just starting out in hockey or skaters that have not been on the ice for some time. Our staff will start with the basics and introduce you to the general skills of the game.
  • Intermediate: For skaters that want to advance from our Beginner Clinics or have some hockey background. Our staff will continue with the basics and general skills but will also add in flow drills and light competition.

Clinic Dates


  • Summer Session: June - August
    • Thursday Evenings (see calendar below)

Player Development Features

  • Emphasis on general skills such as power skating, stick handling, passing, shooting, scoring, speed and agility training.
  • Proper form for each skill learned through demonstration and analysis.
  • Each player will leave this program with the knowledge of how and why they must master these skills.
  • NEW: Scrimmage sessions will be scheduled for additional ice time. Participants will have the opportunity to apply individual skills and team concepts in a game situation.

Team Player Development Features

  • Emphasis on the importance of team play and how to utilize each player on your team.
  • Players will understand the importance of each position on the ice.
  • Player will learn offensive, defensive, neutral zone, and breakout strategies.

On-Ice Training

Each participant will receive eight, 1 hour and 15 minute practices. All practices held at the Super Rink.

Program Staff

Successful player development starts with top level instruction. To ensure this, the NSC Hockey Development program provides its coaches and instructors with a curriculum focused on complete player development. We have assembled a staff second to none. Our staff members are all motivated to help young hockey players reach their highest level of hockey. Here are just a few you will see this summer:

Program Fee

  • $155 per skater
  • $80 per goalie
  • $2,300 per team (15 minimum, no maximum) (10+pm start times) 
  • Note: We must have 15 skaters minimum to offer a session.

  • Minus the 2% Surcharge fee if applicable

  • Surcharge Fee

    The National Sports Center has instituted a 2% surcharge on all submitted card payments. The Surcharge is NON-REFUNDABLE. Customers can avoid the fee by paying with an e-check online at the time of registration.

Registration Deadline


Required equipment include helmet, shin pads, elbow pads and gloves. Full equipment is recommended.  A program jersey will be supplied to each participant.
