NSC Slow Pitch Softball League

Softball has arrived at the new National Sports Center dome! The M Health Fairview Dome at the National Sports Center is the largest Yeadon sports dome in North America. Our 115,000 square foot indoor space boasts  at height of 110 feet and is ideal for softball training and games during the off season. 

Divisions

  • Men's division play Friday nights between 6 pm - 2 am 
    • Session I dates: November 6, 13, 20, December 11,18, Jan 8, Jan 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12
    • Session II dates: Feb 19, 26 ,March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9
  • Women's division plays Wednesday nights between 6 pm - 9 pm
    • Session I dates: Nov 4, 11, 18, Dec 2, 9, 16, Jan 6, 13, Jan 20, 27, Feb 3, 10, 17
    • Session II dates: Feb 24, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, April 7, 14

League Features

  • League is held at the National Sports Center in the new M Health Fairview Dome
  • Teams play 8 weeks (16 double headers) of 55 minute games
  • League is unsanctioned and will follow ASA rules with some exceptions (see rules section).
  • League will provide Champro Safe-T softballs for games

 

League Fees

Team fee due upon registration

  • Teams dropping from the league prior to that registered league's deadline will receive a voucher in the amount of the team fee. The voucher may be used towards another NSC league within a year of the team dropping. The voucher may not be used for tournaments.
  • Teams dropping from the league on or after that league's deadline will not receive a voucher
  • League Cancellation Policy: The following policy will be enacted IF an event hosted by the National Sports Center MUST be canceled by the directives of the State of Minnesota or the Minnesota Department of Health. Please know that our top priority on making decisions moving forward will be the safety and health of our players, coaches, referees, employees and fans. Team will receive a refund for your event entry. Team registration refunds will be processed at 100% of the registration total. Refunds will be credited to your account by no later than December 31, 2020. *Please note that if a team elects to drop prior to the event, the voucher policy will be in effect. This includes teams making their own decision to withdraw prior to the potential cancellation.
  • If a customer (club, *team, individual) is required to quarantine due to illness or exposure to the COVID-19 virus, and are unable to participate for this reason, a refund will be not be issued unless done within the parameters of the existing policy. The event director will reschedule, if possible. Reschedules are not guaranteed to be on the same day or time as originally scheduled.

    *Roster adjustments maybe allowed per event directors discretion.

League Rules

NSC Slow Pitch Dome softball league will follow ASA Rules with the following exceptions. Click HERE for league specific rules.

COVID-19 Preparedness Plan

Please note the following items:

Athletes:

  • Per the state mandate, masks must always be worn by everyone inside our facilities. This includes participants during practices and game play.
  • For more information on NSC League and Programs Mask Policy please visit our page here.
  • Players may not enter our facilities until 10 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled time. They must exit the facility immediately following their designated time.
  • Athletes are expected to maintain social distancing (more than 6 ft.) when possible (e.g., in-between innings, on sidelines).

Spectators:

  • One spectator will allowed per player in the Sports Dome for games. Spectators are not allowed in the building until game time.

Tips to remember:

  1. If you feel sick, please stay home.
  2. All attendees are asked to wear a mask, unless they are actively participating in a game.
  3. Signage will be posted on campus to remind people of guidelines.
  4. Our facility staff will help keep public spaces clean and sanitized throughout the event.

 

Teams in non-compliance of our guidelines are subject to forfeiting games, removal from the league and/or potential implications for future participation on the National Sports Center Campus.

 

 

Weather Policy

The National Sports Center does not close for inclement winter weather.  It is up to teams if they chose to play or forfeit during inclement winter weather.  The league is not responsible for games being forfeited due to weather; therefore, it does not guarantee make-up games at a later date.
